Frances Juanita Bonds

Frances Juanita Bonds of Atlanta, GA passed away on the morning of July 6, 2022. She was 84 years old. She was born in Atlanta, GA on March 17, 1938 to Ernest Matthew and Effie Mae Black.

Dee Dee or “Needer” as she was affectionately called, was an avid reader and was considered as the expert and authority, in her own right, to all things Elvis. She loved humor and believed laughter to truly be the best medicine. Dee Dee loved her family and strived to keep her family united.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest Matthew and Effie Mae Black; her husband, Jessie R. McClure, Jr.; her son, William Avery McClure; her brother, William “Billy” Black; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Catherine and Winford Ethridge, Linda Gail and Roy Lee Dunn and Diane and Johnny Eriquezzo; her brother, Danny Black; her nephews, Ernie Black and James Eriquezzo; and her nieces, Kelly Black and Donna Moses.

Dee Dee’s survivors include her daughter, Joann (Les) Thurman; her son, Jessie Ray McClure; her two baby brothers, Merle Black and Ronnie Black; her grandson, Joshua Lynn (Shauna) Danna; her great-grandchildren, Jade, Blake and Ian; her grandchildren from love, not blood, Mary Thurman and Jonathan Thurman; her best buddies, Mike (Gina) Eriquezzo and Denise D. (Stevie) Smith and Frankie (Wanda) Dunn; and many nieces and nephews that are not mentioned by name but are forever etched in her heart.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at First Pentecostal Church of Villa Rica, 367 Thomas Dorsey Drive, Villa Rica, GA 30180. Friends may visit from 12:00 pm until service time.
