Frank Joseph Joy

Mr. Frank Joseph Joy, 66, of Ocean Springs, MS, died Saturday, April 23, 2011, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Joy was born in New Orleans, LA and had been a longtime resident of the coast. He was a retired U. S. Air Force Veteran and a member of Northside Assembly of God Church. Mr. Joy was preceded in death by his former wife, Karen Elizabeth Joy, and his parents, Albert and Vivian Joy. He is survived by his wife, Janice R. Joy; daughter, Doris (Jose) Ayala of Vacaville, CA; son, Frank J. Joy, Jr. (Cathy Kincade), of Selma, TX; two step-daughters, Angela (Craig) Patterson and Jackie (David) Martin of Ocean Springs; and nine grandchildren, Christopher Joy, Kathryn Joy, Sophia Ayala, Nicholas Ayala, Russell Fagan, Joshua Fagan, Jake Patterson, Luke Patterson and Clara Patterson. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation for the care provided Mr. Joy by the staff of Sunplex Nursing Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 417 Security Square, Gulfport, MS 39507. Visitation is Wednesday, April 27, 2011, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs. Funeral services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors.
