Fred "Freddie" Leon Hill Jr.

Fred Leon Hill Jr. "Freddie", age 50, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, August 9, 2025.

Freddie was born on March 10, 1975, in Biloxi, Mississippi, to the late Fred Leon Hill Sr. and Helen Marie Hill. He graduated from St. Martin High School and later earned an Associates Degree from Virginia College.

Freddie was employed at Island View in Gulfport as a front service assistant manager. He had been a dedicated team member since October 2011.

Freddie had a love for science fiction, especially anything related to Star Wars and Legos, and enjoyed reading in his free time. He cherished spending Saturdays with his family and was a passionate fan of the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, New York Giants, and the Buffalo Sabres.

He is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

Freddie is survived by his siblings, Suzanne “Bubba” Bates, Jesse Hill, and Elizabeth Hill; his niece, Jessica Hill; Godson and nephew, Gabriel Stumph; Godson, James Barlow; and his Godmother, Shirley Mullen. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at the St. Martin Shelter, 1300 Walker Rd Ocean Springs, MS 39564.
