Frederick Phillip Dillistone

Frederick Phillip Dillistone, Jr., age 91, of Gulfport, died Monday, June 16, 2008 in Gulfport. He was a native of Hattiesburg and a longtime resident of the Gulf Coast. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a country club manager for many years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Long Beach where he served as a deacon. Mr. Dillistone was preceded in death by a son, Phil Dillistone. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Bonnie Dillistone of Gulfport; three sons, Don Dillistone and Ron Dillistone, both of Long Beach, and Carlton Dillistone of Houston, TX; five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. The graveside service will be held Thursday, June 19, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at Long Beach City Cemetery.
