Galen Paul Doucet

Galen Paul Doucet “Big Money” of Gulfport, MS passed away on April 10, 2026 at the age of 64.

Galen was born on March 10, 1962, in Houma, Louisiana, to the late George and Peggy Doucet. He was a graduate of Gulfport High School, Class of 1980, and was a proud member of the 1977 Big 8 State Championship team. He attended some college and went on to become a partner and owner of Sun Coast Business Supply.

Galen was a member of St. James Catholic Church. He enjoyed golfing, attending concerts, traveling, and spending time with his family. He was also a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Boston Red Sox.

He is survived by his loving wife, Penny Marie Doucet; his children, Galen Doucet II, Jordan Bermond Doucet (wife of Galen II), and Nicole Doucet; his grandchild, Corbin Doucet; his siblings, Byron Doucet, Denise Melton, and Michelle Godwin; and his beloved pet, Kitty.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street in Gulfport, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a Celebration of Life to follow at 6:00 PM.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ben Cheney, Nurse Beckey, Dr. Brandon Hardin, Dr. Hayden Long, the staff of St. Joseph Hospice, and the staff of The Claiborne and Memory Care Unit for their care and compassion.
