George Bennett

George Bennett, Sr. Age 79 years, died Friday, June 26, 2015 in Gulfport. Mr. Bennett was born in Gulfport where he was a resident most of his life. He retired from AT&T after 40 years of service in 1999. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Biloxi. He served as Deputy Sheriff and assistant Chief of the Reserves under Sheriff LeRoy Hobbs. He was a member of MS Peace Officers Assn. and TN-MS Peace Officers Assn. and a former member of the Gulfport Elks Lodge #978. Mr. Bennett is survived by his wife Aileen Bennett; two sons George W. Bennett, Jr. and Kenneth W. Bennett; two grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at BRADFORD-O’KEEFE FUNERAL HOME, 15TH Street Gulfport. Visitation will be one hour prior to service.
