George Stansbury Ellmore

George Stansbury Ellmore, Jr., age 84, of Gulfport, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026.

Mr. Ellmore was born in Alexandria, VA and had been a resident of Gulfport for five years. He was a member of the Catholic faith. Mr. Ellmore retired from the hospitality industry where he was in restaurant management. He was also the former director of code enforcement in Madison, MS and was a former Commodore of the Jackson, MS Yacht Club.

Survivors include his wife, Rose Ellmore; two sisters, Linda Kennedy and Laura Ridgeway; stepson, Ken Cater and his wife, Jheen; and three step-grandchildren, Ashley Epperson, Lindsey Stewart, and Chelsey Bush.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at St. James Catholic Church, Gulfport.
