George “G.B.” Dubaz, Jr., USN retired, age 74, of Orlando, FL, passed away on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
G.B. was a native of Biloxi. Growing up, he attended St. John Catholic Church. G.B. attended Biloxi Public Schools and was a 1969 graduate of Biloxi High School. As a teenager, he developed an interest in the emergency medical field. He worked for Gulf Ambulance in Biloxi and was later a hospital orderly at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
G.B. joined the U.S. Navy in 1981 and served as a Navy Corpsman. He left the Navy after a short while and went to work as a E.M.T. Paramedic on the oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. After two years, he rejoined the U.S. navy and served faithfully for a total of 27 years, retiring as Sr. Chief Petty Officer. G.B. was a veteran of Desert Shield and Desert Storm. After retirement, he lived in New Orleans working as a tour guide. He later moved to Orlando, Fl to be closer to his children. G. B. was also a life member of Slavic Benevolent Association.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Marie Lizana Dubaz; father, George B. Dubaz, Sr.; and mother, Fern Davidson O’Neal.
Survivors include his daughters, Stephanie Davidson (Kevin), and Elizabeth Dubaz; sons, Adam E. Dubaz (Megan) and George “Anthony” Dubaz (Angela); grandchildren, Isabella, Isadore, Olivia, and Addie; and brothers, Stephen J. Dubaz, Brian Dubaz (Rose Marie), Robert C. Dubaz (Betty Sue), and Gary A. Dubaz (Lee Ann).
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Friends may visit one hour prior to service. G.B. will be laid to rest at Biloxi National Cemetery with full U.S. Navy honors. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of G.B. Dubaz, Jr.
