George Edward Jones, IV

George Edward Jones, IV “Eddie”, 79, of Biloxi, MS passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2024, at his home in Biloxi.

Eddie was born on June 29, 1947, in Biloxi, to George E. Jones, III “Jonah” and Hazel Jones. He served in the National Guard Reserve and was employed by Local Union I.B.E.W. 903 as an electrician for 60 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved being in the woods and on the water. Eddie has held the current state record for sailfish in Mississippi since 1963.

He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife, Angela Jones; his children, Todd Jones (Hope), Jill Compton (Chuck), Janette Shaw (Jeff) and Amber Raynor (Rick); 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and his siblings, Penny Graves, Donna Barnes and Janeen Kopp.
