George Theodore Perkins

George Theodore Perkins, 95, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017 in Ocean Springs. Mr. Perkins served in the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years as both a Fixed and Rotary Wing Pilot. Following his military career, he worked for more than 30 years at Cape Canaveral, FL. Mr. Perkins was an avid golfer, bowler and dancer and he especially enjoyed square dancing. He is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Leslie Perkins; and his son, Robert Perkins. Mr. Perkins’ survivors include his daughters, Margaret “Peggy” (Bill) West of D’Iberville and Susan (Luis) Maura of Albuquerque, NM; and his grandchildren, Robbie Maura of Melbourne, FL and Alicia Maura of Albuquerque, NM. The family wishes to thank Dr. Tana Cooper and staff at Wound Care, D’Iberville, MS; the staff at Brookdale, Biloxi, MS, Camellia Hospice and the staff at Ocean Springs Health and Rehab for their care of Mother and Daddy. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Rockledge, FL. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
