George Reish

George Murphy Reish, born March 18, 1956, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on January 2, 2026.

An avid traveler, George covered a lot of ground and lived in various places. He never met a stranger and treated all his countless friends as his best friend. Once you were his friend, you were a forever friend where he knew the importance of keeping in touch like no other. George was kindhearted and had a genuine love for all people and animals. George would hold up traffic to save a turtle, and he knew every life was important.

George had an incredible work ethic and touched and impacted many lives during his years of management and leadership in the casino industry. Even in retirement, he would still make his rounds to visit the ones he worked with. He was an inspiration to others and especially his son, Andrew, who is forever grateful to God and George for providing him such a great father/son relationship. They had an unbreakable bond and enjoyed fishing, golfing, and just being in each other’s company.

George is survived by his son, Andrew Reish (Whitney); brother, Paul Reish (Sue); sister, Margaret Downing (Rex); and ex-wife and best friend, Kelly Reish. George also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. George was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Reish; father, John Reish Sr.; and brother, John Reish Jr.

A celebration of George’s life will be held in New Jersey where he had many wonderful memories. The family asks in lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter in George’s honor.
