George “Bill” Warren, fondly known as “Mr. Bill,” of D’Iberville, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2025, at the age of 75.
Born on September 12, 1949, in Brandon, Mississippi, Bill grew up in the Shiloh Community and graduated from Pelahatchie High School. A dedicated and hardworking man, he spent many years with Wal-Mart, retiring as General Manager of Store #2715 in D’Iberville. His roots ran deep in Store #1088 in Biloxi, where he cultivated lasting friendships with both associates and members of the community.
Bill had a zest for life that showed in all he did. He and his beloved wife Susan, with whom he shared 50 beautiful years, enjoyed traveling, golfing, doting on their cherished fur babies, the occasional trip to the casino, and—most of all—spending meaningful time with friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George I. and Myrtis Upton Warren, and his brother Kenneth I. Warren and sister-in-law Shirley.
Bill leaves behind his loving wife, Susan Dugger Warren; his children, Robert “Bobby” Warren of Gautier, MS, and Stephanie Evenhuis (Jason) of Frederick, MD; and his adored grandsons, Finn and Mack Evenhuis. He is also survived by his siblings, Sandra Franklin of Pearl, MS, and Richard Warren (Alice) of Brandon, MS; his loyal fur babies, Bully and Puggee; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
The family kindly requests that those wishing to express sympathy consider making a donation in Bill’s memory to their favorite charity. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the members of Coalville United Methodist Church and the Wal-Mart community for their support and care.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. all at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue in Biloxi. Interment will follow at Coalville Cemetery.
