Geraldine Fountain Rushing

Mary Geraldine Fountain Rushing, 88, of Ocean Springs, MS died peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. Geraldine “Geri” Rushing was born on June 9, 1933 in Biloxi, MS. She was a devout Catholic and member of Sacred Heart Church and in recent years was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Elizabeth Seton in Ocean Springs. She was valedictorian of St. Martin High School, class of 1950, in St. Martin, MS. Geri worked as a Medical Stenographer at Keesler Air Force Base and subsequently worked for Dr. M.F. Longnecker in medical records. Geri was active in various community and civic clubs in the D’Iberville/St. Martin area. 
She was preceded in death by her parents, Valentine "Vallie" Fountain and Henrietta Sprinkles Fountain, and most recently by her loving husband Alfred Edison Rushing after over 70 years of marriage. 

Survived by her loving daughter, Julie (Johnson Lee) Tullos; grandson, Jonathan (Erin) Rushing Tullos; great-grandson, Rushing "Rush" Cotter Tullos. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations in her memory to be made to your favorite charity. 

A dual funeral service will be held for Geraldine and her husband, Alfred "Al" Rushing at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Porter Avenue in Ocean Springs on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 11 AM. Friends may visit from 10 AM to 11 AM. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Geri Rushing.
