Gerri T. Anderson

Gerri T. Anderson, age 83, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026.

She was raised on her family's farm in the Bonnet Pond, FL community until the age of 10 when her family moved to Panama City, FL. She accompanied her first husband on USAF assignments to Germany and North Dakota and settled in the Atlanta, GA area for many years, raising four children whom she loved very much. After meeting her second husband (C.W.) at Tyndall AFB, FL she lived in several Florida locations, enjoying gardening, fishing, dancing to country music, traveling on cruises and spending days on the beach. After they fully retired in 2014 they moved to Ocean Springs.

Gerri was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie B. and Mary Magdleane McFatter and brother, Harold McFatter, all of Panama City.

Survivors include her loving husband, Charles W. Anderson, Jr. (C.W.), children, Wally Burns (Wife Barbara) of Chipley, FL, Krista Burns-Roller of Knoxville, TN, Vickey Lea Burns of Glade Spring, VA and Rusty Burns (wife Katie) of Fayetteville, GA, sisters-in-law, Janice McFatter, Charlette Hill, and Sandy Stevenson and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Gerri proudly supported Tunnel to Towers Foundation (2361 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10306); St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105); and the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (303 East Wacker Drive, Suite 2300, Chicago, IL 60601-5224). Donations may be made to any of these organizations in her memory.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 675 Howard Avenue in Biloxi at 11:30 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery.
