Gilbert Anthony “Ace” Fountain, age 80, of Biloxi, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021. Gilbert was born on May 31, 1940 in Biloxi, Mississippi. He graduated from D’Iberville High School and worked as a pipefitter at Ingalls Shipbuilding. He served in the Army National Guard as an E5. He loved gardening, boating, fishing, shrimping, and going out to eat. He is preceded in death by parents Albert and Augustine Fountain, daughter Dawn Fountain, and siblings Wallace Fountain, Charles Fountain, Elvin Fountain, and Malcom Fountain. He is survived by children Gilbert Fountain, Jr., Caroline Fountain, Shelley (Matt) Speece, and Brittany (Robbie) Ravenscraft, as well as grandchildren Lauren (Jordan) Carter, Blake (Kaitlyn) Hayes, Alexis Raymond, Brooke Raymond, Laykin Preston, and Wyatt Ravenscraft. He is also survived by great-grandchildren Kai Cardenas, Anniston Carter, and Hayzleigh Carter, and siblings Joyce Meyers, John (Neldine) Fountain, and Judge Albert Fountain. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Friends are invited to visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Fountain’s Cemetery, and a reception will take place immediately following interment at 10208 Lake Forest Drive, Vancleave, MS, 39565. The family wishes to extend many special thanks to Tracy, Sheila, and Lea with Kare in Home Hospice and his amazing caregiver Cassandra for all of their love and support of their Daddy. They also wish to extend thanks to Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home for handling the arrangements. Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the Fountain family.
