Ginger Lynn Galloway Lashley, age 50, of Ocean Springs, MS, died April 22, 2011.
She was born October 11, 1960, in Iuka, MS. She grew up and attended schools throughout the United States due to her dad’s career in the U. S. Navy. Ginger graduated from Kellam High School in Virginia Beach, VA, and attended Southwest Florida Community College in Clearwater, FL, and Gulf Coast Community College, Jackson County Campus, in Gautier, MS. She had resided on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for the past 28 years, where she married and raised her children. She was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church in Ocean Springs.
Ginger was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim and Lucy Dobbs and Julius and Etoile McCoy; by a brother, Richard Lee Galloway; and by a sister, Teresa Dawn Galloway.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Scott Lashley; a son, Dwight Anthony Watkins, Jr. and his wife, Andryana, of Norfolk, VA; three daughters, Kimberly Hope Triplett and her husband Shawn, Brittney Michelle Lashley and Savanna Lynn Lashley, all of Ocean Springs; two grandsons, Aiden Triplett and Aidyn Watkins; her parents, Hal and Jimmie Galloway of Ocean Springs; and by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Saint Paul United Methodist Church, East Campus (corner of highway 90 and highway 57) in Ocean Springs, MS, at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, April 30, 2011. Friends may visit with the family at the church starting at 10:00 A.M. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Saint Paul UMC Building Fund, P.O. Box 909, Ocean Springs, MS 39566-0909.
