Gladys Viola Dalgo Garza

Ms. Gladys Dalgo Garza, 97, of Biloxi, departed this world for her heavenly home Saturday, August 13, 2011. Gladys, was born on October 7, 1913 in Hattiesburg, MS to Mattie and Frank Stanley. Gladys had a beautiful voice in her youth and sang in the choir at the Evangelica Luthern Church for many years. She was always willing to help anyonewho was in need if help, whether it was nursing the sick back to health or feeding someone a great meal. She will be missed by all that knew her. She is preceded in death by her first husband Angelo Dalgo; son, Jerry Dalgo; granddaughter, Sharon Nixon; great grandson, Walter Nixon; mother, Mattie Stanley; father, Frank Stanley; brothers, Buddy, Frank and Elmer Stanley; sisters, Myrtis Rossbach, Mattie Suarez, Burnice Wilson, Alice Nyberg and Earnestine Thompson. She is survived by her husband Fidel Garza; daughter Helen Foretich; son, George (Doris) Dalgo; daughter in law, Mattie Dalgo; grandchildren, Andy, Jerry and Bobby Dalgo, Angie Soren, Debbie, Darlean, and Timmy Dalgo. Numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at the Church of Nazarene, where friends may visit from 12:00 p.m. till service time.
