Glen Wood

Glen Wood, age 82, of Ocean Springs, MS., died on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in Ocean Springs. Mr. Wood was a lifelong resident of the Coast. He retired from Ingalls Shipbuilding after forty-five years as a Pipe Supervisor. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and was a member of Belle Fountain Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Frances Wood; son, Robert Wood and brother, Russell Wood. Survivors include two daughters, Kay Bingle (Bill) of Hurley, MS., Patti Lawrence (David) of Ocean Springs, MS; four sisters, Ethel Basque, Yvonne Senseney, Betty Harper all of Ocean Springs, MS and Joan Grimsley of Gautier, MS; one brother, Roy Wood of Hurley, MS; two grandchildren, Nathan Bingle of Southbend, IN and Derek Bingle of Pascagoula, MS. Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Belle Fountain Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. where friends may visit one hour prior to service. Burial will follow in Belle Fountain Baptist Church Cemetery.
