Gloria Verna Powell-Sisler

Gloria Powell Sisler, age 64, of Ocean Springs, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2009. Mrs. Sisler was a native of Biloxi and a former resident of Orange, MA. She traveled with her husband during his United States Air Force career and returned to the Gulf Coast in 2008. She was a member of the Catholic faith and a former member of St. Louis Parish in Biloxi. Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Sisler; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Powell; sister, Susan Hamrick; daughter, Christine Park and son, Stephen Battise. Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Lincks; step-daughters, Tena and Nina; son, Rufus Battise, Jr.; two sisters, Nadine Ross and Cathy Dunbar; three brothers, Allen, Lyman and James Powell along with four grandchildren, Glenn, Miranda, Sierra and Savanna and four step-grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes, where friends may visit two hours prior to service. Burial to follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park.
