Golda Ruth Evans Gordon, age 80, formerly of Long Beach died Sunday, November 13, 2016 in Tomball, Texas. She was born in Conway, MS and was a long time resident of the Gulf Coast. She was a graduate of USM with a degree in education and previously worked at Garden Park Medical Center and Sand Hill. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Long Beach. She participated in Girl Scouts as a leader and enjoyed many hobbies including painting, macramé, piano, crafts and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Benard Dale Gordon; a son, David Lamar Gordon; her mother, Eva Goldine Whitaker Evans; father, Lane Lamar Evans; brother, Lane Evans; sister-in-law, Judy Evans; and son-in-law, Joseph F. Ladnier.
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Dale Gordon Ladnier and Synthia Regina Gordon Ben-Schoter (Tim); six grandchildren, Christopher Lee Gordon (Kristina), David Dale Gordon (Mary), Melissa Sunshine Ladnier, Bronson Lamar Gordon (Jessica), Alysha Dawn Kittrell (Rusty), and Tabitha Anne Marue Ben-Schoter; and great-grandchildren, Bella Sunshine McClain, Cambridge Lynnlee Gordon, Levi Lamar Gordon, Malani Macias, Alex Stanfil, Megan Gower, Claire Ruscello, and Ava Ruscello.
The funeral service is Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment follows at Evergreen Gardens, Gulfport.
