Grady Leroy Mayo

Grady Leroy Mayo, 72 of Gautier, MS passed away on December 13, 2025.

He was born on January 3, 1953 in Pascagoula, MS to Willie Mayo and Ada Oleta Mayo. He graduated from Pascagoula High School and went to college for Firefighter, EMT, and Paramedic Classes. He received firefighter, paramedic, and deputy awards. He was a member of the Firefighter’s Union. He served in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed learning anything and everything.

Grady was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Ada Oleta Mayo; and his siblings, Guy and Lloyd Mayo.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Mayo; children, Joshua Mayo, Nathanael Mayo, Sarah (Mike) Anderson, Matthew Mayo; stepchildren, Michael (Windy) Tiller, Tammy Beeles, Leonard Tiller, and Jason (Jackie) Tiller; grandchildren, Denis, Megan, Christina, Joseph, Kevin, Kayla, Amber, Shyloh, Tabitha, Blake, and Jace; and great-grandchildren, Hayden Krause.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at First Baptist Church, Gautier, MS. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Cemetery, Gautier, MS.
