Gwendolyn Carr Loughlin, a longtime resident of Gulfport, MS, died Friday, January 15, 2016 surrounded by her family.
Born in 1938 in Bakersfield, CA, Gwen loved music and dancing with her beloved husband of 50 years, Charles (Ed) Loughlin, who preceded her in death in 2010. Gwen and Ed traveled the world while he served many years in the US Navy. They chose to settle on the coast while raising their family. Gwen worked for, and later retired from, Dupont in Delisle, MS. She was a member of East Main Baptist Church in Lumberton, MS.
She was also preceded in death by her mother, Grace Ailene Perry; her father, Charles Carr McNatt; and her brother, John Hampton McNatt.
She is survived by three children; Steven (Doranna) Loughlin, Greg (Janice) Loughlin and Lynda (Mike) McCallum; her sister, Beatriz Charlean Bell of Gretna, LA; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 2511 Pass Road in Biloxi, on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at 11:30 am. Friends may visit from 10:30 am until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
