Mrs. Helen Rose Wentzell Gombos Dubaz, age 85, of Biloxi, MS. died Saturday, July 7, 2012, in Biloxi. Mrs. Dubaz was a native and lifelong resident of Biloxi and a graduate of Biloxi High School. She was active in many carnival organizations and was a dedicated caregiver to many. She was passionate about garage sales and bargain shopping. Her heart was dedicated to her loving husband and her family who she wanted to always be together. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alexander G. Gombos, Sr., son, Larry G. Dubaz, Jr.,parents, Hilda Ward and Frank M. Wentzell, sisters, Rita Wentzell Andrews and Mary Alice Wentzell and brothers, Frank C. Wentzell, Walter Wentzell and Clinton Wentzell sisters-in-law, Annette Dubaz Taranto, Irene Dubaz, Dot Dubaz, and Julie Gombos Burrill, and brothers-in-law, Luke Dubaz, Jr., Burnett Dubaz, Guy B. Roberts, Sr., Sam Montiforte and Sav Taranto. Survivors inclue her husband of 31 years, Larry G. Dubaz, Sr., daughters, Mary Alice Gombos (Jesse) Kanode, Linda Gombos (Fred) Hornsby, Julie Gombos (Richard) Schmidt, and Kathleen Gombos (Mark) Gamis, sons, Al G. (Marie) Gombos, Jr., Michael Dubaz, Danny (Susan) Dubaz, daughter-in-law, Theresa Fox Dubaz, sister, Margaret W. (Dan) Scott, sister-in-law, Anna Jo Wentzell, brother-in-law, Wally Andrews, Sr., and sisters-in-law, Iris Dubaz Roberts, Elaine Dubaz Montiforte and Fern Dubaz O'Neal, nineteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a special lifelong friend, Rose Ann Schultz. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 10, 2012, from 9:30 am until 11:00 am, with an 11 am Mass of Christian Burial, all at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery. Special thanks to her loving caregivers who were like family, not only gave their care but their hearts too and also to St. Joseph Hospice and Amedysis.. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to St. Vincent de Paul at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
