Mrs. Henry W. Boardman (Rosamond) quietly passed away May 17th, 2016 surrounded by her family. Rosamond was born in Clarksdale, MS in 1935. She attended MSCW in Columbus, MS where she met and married Henry Weston Boardman of Handsboro, MS, then a senior at MSU in the ROTC program and about to enter the Air Force. She was a loving wife and mother of 3 children. She was an expert bridge player and well-known for her gracious entertaining, sharp wit and style.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Henry, and son, Joseph Weston. She is survived by her sister Nan Nichols House of Clarksdale, her 2 daughters, Rosamond Ann Boardman of Gulfport and Suzanne Boardman Johnston of Long Beach, MS, and her 2 grandsons, who called her “Gogo”, David Weston Pipkin of Gulfport and Samuel Weston Hess of Sealy, TX. She will be missed every day but her family rejoices for her in the reunion with those she has long missed.
Her family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the South Mississippi Humane Society, 2615 25th Ave., Gulfport, MS 39501.
There will be a visitation from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 21st at Trinity United Methodist Church, Gulfport with a memorial service at 2:00 pm.
