Henry Nielsen, 71, of Vancleave, MS passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015 in Vancleave.
Henry was born in Copenhagen, Denmark and came to the United States at the age of nine. He became a naturalized citizen and joined the Air Force in 1962. In his Air Force career, he worked on Minuteman Missiles, ground radio communication and became an electronics instructor at KAFB in special training. Henry retired from the Air Force in 1983 and in 1984 he signed on the Civil Service as an instructor at KAFB, once again in special training. He retired from Civil Service in 2012.
He is preceded in death by his son, Christopher; his mother, Else; and his father, Edward.
Henry’s survivors include his wife of 46 years, Jean; his daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and James Schiefelbein; and his six year old twin granddaughters, Sarah and Samantha Schiefelbein.
Funeral Services will be held at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 11:00 am. Friends may visit from 10:00 am until service time. Interment will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
