Hermina Johnson Shoemaker

Mrs. Hermina Johnson Shoemaker, age 72, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2016. Mrs. Shoemaker was a native of Pascagoula and a resident of D’Iberville for over 40 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. She was a loving mother and grandmother who was affectionately known as Mina and Granna. She is preceded in death by her husband, A.J. “Butch” Shoemaker; and her parents, Herman Johnson, Sr and LaNore Cox Johnson. Survivors include her daughter, Karen (Richard) Howell; son, Paul (Susan) Shoemaker; sisters, Patty (Calvin) Russell, LaNore (David) Wieniewitz and Laura (Jim) Waite; brothers, Herman (Carlene) Johnson Jr, Charles (Betty) Johnson, Jeffrey (Connie) Johnson and Keith Johnson; and six grandchildren, Cortney Ballew, Zachary Shoemaker, Maddie Howell, Loren Howell, Julianna Shoemaker and Synclaire Shoemaker. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to visit from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at D’Iberville Memorial Park.
