Hilary Lawrence Hengen

Mr. Hilary Lawrence Hengen, 90, of Portsmouth, Ohio, died Saturday, January 31, 2009, in Portsmouth. Mr. Hengen was a native of Biloxi and served in the U. S. Navy as a Lt. Commander during WW II and the Korean Conflict. He was a retired professor from Kent State University. Mr. Hengen was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanne Hengen; parents, John and Marie Hengen; sister, Marie Stillman; and four brothers, John, Louis, Darius and Quiten Hengen. Survivors include his daughter, Nancy Hengen; son, Richard Hengen; brother, Lucius (Betty) Hengen; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
