Hilda "Sue" Jones

Hilda Sue Jones, 80 of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024, in Gulfport, MS.

She was born July 20, 1943 in Biloxi, MS, to John Hilton Windham and Betty Sue Windham.  Sue was a graduate of Biloxi High School and the University of Southern Mississippi.   She worked as an elementary school teacher in Ocean Springs, Biloxi, and Pascagoula and enjoyed her time in education. Sue enjoyed spending time with family and friends, entertaining guests at her home, and most importantly, spending her days with Moreno.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Moreno, her parents, and her sister, Patty Windham.

Sue is survived by her precious children, Susan Jones, David Jones (Jenine), Kevin Jones (Ann); grandchildren: Elizabeth Lizana (Joseph), Patrick Jones (Amanda), Gabe Jones (Rachael), Hope Estes (Conner), Zach Jones, Lauren Rodgers (David), Jonathan Sutera (Maddy), Tyler Kostal (Ryan), Megan Jones, Anthony Wisdom; great grandchildren: Logan Lizana, Silas Lizana, Amelie Jones, Alyse Jones, Eli Jones, Drew Rodgers, Thomas Rodgers, Riley Sutera, Harper Sutera, Elinor Kostal and Winsor Kostal.

Funeral service will be Friday, February 9, 2024, 11:00 AM at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 911 Porter Ave, Ocean Springs, MS, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park, Ocean Springs, MS. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph Hospice Center in Gulfport, MS.
