Iris Roberta Steele

Mrs. Iris Grantham Steele, 94, of Biloxi, MS, died Saturday, March 26, 2011, in D'Iberville. Mrs. Steele was born in Biloxi and remained a lifelong resident of the Coast. She attended Nativity B.V.M. Cathedral and Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mrs. Steele was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow W. Steele, Sr.; a son, Woodrow W. Steele, Jr.; her parents, Holland H. and Roberta Shaffer Grantham; a sister, Dorothea Wetzel and a brother, Hunter Grantham, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Jerry Anne (Mark) Rosetti; and six grandchildren, John (Dina) Rosetti, Donna (Greg) Bradley, Troy (Selena) Rosetti, Rhonda (Dino) Cacchiotti, Tony Steele, and Bridget (Pat) Anderson; eight great grandchildren; and numerous special nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to any St. Vincent de Paul Society. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Nativity B.V.M. Cathedral where friends may visit one hour before service time. Interment will follow in Southern Memorial Park. Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi is in charge of services.
