Jacqueline "Elaine" Hiers

Jacqueline "Elaine" Hiers, age 68, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2018 in Biloxi, MS. She was born July 31, 1950 in Moultrie, GA to Jack and Ruby Shiflett. She attended Moultrie High School and the University of Southern Mississippi. Elaine is preceded in death by her husband, Paul "Jaybird" J. Hiers. Survivors include her children, Shannon (Karen) Hiers and Chad (Jenny) Hiers; grandchildren, Courtney Hiers, Corey (Caitlyn) Hiers, Carl Thompson, Austin Smith, Justin Hiers, Michaela Thompson, Austin Hiers, and Wesley Smith; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Dahl, Lakyn Hiers, and Georgia Hiers (on the way), and honorable grand youngin', Carson Ray "Monk" Leslie; siblings, Ginger Coburn and Lee (Jamie) Shiflett; her faithful companion, Buster Hiers; and other family members including Janet (Ronnie) Flores, Jimmy (Patsy) Hiers, Jerry (Jackie) Hiers, Judy (Herschel) Tompkins, and Joyce Blalock. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 23, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with a service Friday, August 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at D'Iberville Memorial Park.
