James Lathan Crowe

James Lathan Crowe, age 90, a resident of Long Beach passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016. James was born April 3, 1926 in Franklinton, LA. James was a devoted husband and father. He loved to fish and was a very good gardener. He began his military service in the Marine Corps and later went into the Air Force where he retired from Andrews Air Force Base, 89th Military Airlift Wing Aircraft for Air Force One with 23 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gordon E. Crowe and Luna May Penny Crowe. Survivors include his wife, Anna M. Crowe of 40 years of marriage; along with his children, Sharon LeRoux and husband, Louis of Gulfport, Jennifer Trihias and husband Mike of Sterling, VA, Alisa Rankin of Gulfport; 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. James would not want his family to mourn for him since he had a wonderful life and enjoyed every day of his 90 years. The family would like to thank all the staff involved from the Deaconess Hospice for their kind and loving care and support.
