James "JD" Reeves

James “JD” Reeves of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 25, 2024, at the age of 67. JD was born in 1956, in Hobbs, New Mexico, to the late Lee and Ruth Reeves.

He will be greatly missed but his memory will be kept alive by his cherished wife, Nell Boudreaux Reeves; his sons, Chad (Hilda) Boudreaux and Jody (Joy) Boudreaux; his seven grandchildren (who affectionately refer to him as “J-Paw”) Hailey, Peyton, Jannell, Jay Jay, Cameron, Sydney and Jax; his two sisters, Wanda Bernier and Jenny (Doyle) Goldsmith; and his four brothers, Lynn (Barbara) Reeves, Ray Reeves, Martin Reeves and Dale (Anita) Reeves. His absence will also be felt by a community of friends and colleagues who respected and admired him.

JD’s professional journey began when he moved to Ocean Springs where he was employed with Pine Island Golf Course for six years. He eventually channeled his career, from golf to sales, where he gained employment with Estabrook Toyota (now Cannon Toyota) for over 35 years until his death. He was a huge football fan of Ole Miss and on his days off he was not too far from the television, watching a football game or two with Nell.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Bradford O’Keefe Funeral Homes, located at 911 Porter Avenue, Ocean Springs, MS 39564. Visitation will be 10:00- 11:00 a.m., with a service, officiated by Pastor Tim Webb (brother-in-law), beginning at 11:00 a.m. JD will be laid to rest at Crestlawn Memorial Park, located at 4111 Bienville Blvd, Ocean Springs, Mississippi 39564.

Serving as pallbearers and those who shared in JD’s journey will be Chad Boudreaux, Jody Boudreaux, Cameron Boudreaux, Jay Jay Boudreaux, Christopher Randolph, Joshua Randolph, Jim Lemon, and Harrison Pittman

JD’s heart of this world may have failed, but his spirit will forever remain. He will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will be a comfort to all who knew him and we rejoice knowing that he is at peace and resting in the arms of our loving Father.
