James (Jim) Fitzgerald Harsch, age 59, passed away on Sunday, February 25th 2024 in Ocean Springs, MS.
Jim was a graduate of St. Thomas More High School in Milwaukee, WI. After High School, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he served as an Air Traffic Controller for 13 years which solidified his patriotism in the United States of America. He worked various jobs until his career at Huntington Ingalls started where he was employed as a shipfitter for the past 15 years.
Jim was a pillar in the Rugby community by participating as a player, referee, and mentor for 30+ years. In addition to Rugby, he also dedicated more than 10 years refereeing Women’s lacrosse starting from the youth in middle school throughout post collegiate. He was a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan. He volunteered in various community service events to include his active membership and service at the Mosaic Church in Ocean Springs, MS.
He is preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Phyllis and Gerald John; and his father, James Douglas.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Cyndy Carroll; his former wife, Kellye Creamer; their children, Dakotah Taylor (Ethan), James Harsch II, and Olivia Harsch; as well as his brother Mark Harsch.
In lieu of flowers his loved ones would appreciate a donation to at least one of the following organizations: Toys for Tots, Mission 22, or Wounded Warrior Project.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, Ocean Springs. Friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will take place at a later date at Magnolia Gardens Cemetery in Magnolia, AR.
