James "Jimmy" Ernest Kohlhepp

James "Jimmy" Ernest Kohlhepp, Jr. was a free- spirited, lifelong Biloxi native. His closest friends called him "Jimbo." He was born on August 3, 1966 at Keesler Air Force Base Hospital in Biloxi. He went on to Glory on Sunday, April 3, 2016. Jimmy died of heart failure at his Biloxi home, where he resided with his dear friends, Norm and Irma Cyr. Jimmy was preceded in death by his grandmother, Annie Richard Wilkerson; his grandfather, Ben Wilkerson; and his uncle, Jimmy Wilkerson. He leaves his mother, Lois Ann Wilkerson Phelps; his father, James Earnest Kohlhepp Sr.; his sister, Lisa Wilhelm; two uncles, Eddie and Johnny Wilkerson; two aunts, Frances Cutten and Dean Oliver; his great-great aunt, Leona Porter; two nieces, Holly Wilhelm and Brooke Whipps; his precious great-niece, Ameliah Sturm; his adoring great-nephew, Jacob Sugar; and many cousins and friends across the coast and the country. Jimbo was a real natural outdoorsy kind of man and his bike was his main transportation. He had a great personality, enjoyed fishing, played the guitar, played chess, was a master of the scrabble board, played cards, and loved casino tournaments. He pursued many different jobs throughout his life; a roustabout on the oil rigs, an artist with ink pen and while at sea, he drew ships and sea life in awesome detail! He worked as an apprentice at Mr. Herrington Heating and Air for many years. He was a talented tradesman and painter. Everyone is welcome to come to a Celebration of Life Memorial honoring "Jimbo” on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 6 p.m. at his home church, Leggett United Methodist Church, 1410 Beach Blvd, Biloxi, MS 39531. There will be time for friends and family to share memories and stories during the service.
