James Banell Long

James Banell Long, age 73, of Gulfport died Saturday, April 16, 2016 in Biloxi. He was born in Oxford, MS and had been a resident of the Coast for about 50 years. He was a retired building contractor and a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Long is survived by his wife, Jane C. Long; a daughter, Charlotte Yolanda Long; a son, James Burton Long; three sisters, Betty Prestwood, Virginia Evans, and Mary Huston; a brother, Eugene Long; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The graveside service is Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 12:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Navy.
