James Perry Douglas

Mr. James Perry Douglas, age 64, of Laurel, MS., died Wednesday, February 11, 2009, in Ocean Springs. Mr. Douglas was a longtime resident of the Gulf Coast and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam Conflict. He eventually retired as a parts manager from Chris Posey Chevrolet in Laurel, MS. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his father, Everett Douglas. Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Johnnie Douglas, two daughters, Ronda (Scott) Maddox and Dana (Danny) Gillan, his mother, Ruby Irene James Douglas, two sisters, Patricia Giamportone and Barbara Worsham, a brother, Charles Douglas, eight grandchildren, Tania Jones, Westley Landry, Mikey Maddox, Jessi James, Danielle Gillan, Dallas Gillan, Shandy Gillan and Dayton Gillan, and his two loving pets, Dash and Belle. Visitation will be on Saturday, February 14, 2009, from 1:30 - 2:30 PM, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. After the visitation, there will be a 2:45 PM graveside service in Crestlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
