James "Jimmy" Warren Sr.

Remembering a Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Friend, James “Jimmy” Warren Sr., born on June 12, 1926, to James and Rachel Warren in Hollandale, MS, he was a longtime resident of Vancleave, MS. He passed away peacefully on April 12, 2026, at the age of 99.

James is preceded in death by his parents, Rachel & Ellis Neal; and his father, James Warren; spouse, Loretta Fairley-Warren; and daughter, Olevia Warner.

James is survived by his children, James Warren Jr., Ellis Warren, Samuel Warren, Rachel McCorvey, Wynne (Lathen) Hartfield, Timothy Warren, Thomas (Annie) Warren, Vivian Warren, Mark Warren, Deborah (Jean Pierre) Deshauteurs, Richard (Arnell) Warren, and John Warren; his siblings, Ralph (Geraldine) Warren, Dorothy Jennings, Ed Warren, Thelma Jackson, and Lucy Holmes. James was deeply blessed with a large, loving family of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren who will carry on his legacy, and whom are among his greatest blessings.

James was a cherished member of his community, known for his warm smile and generous spirit. He retired from the civil service and Chevron, dedicating many years to his work.

James found joy in spending time outdoors, especially fishing, and treasured cookouts with his family.

He dearly loved his pups, Zoey and Benny, who were always by his side.

James’s passion for life and love for those around him will be remembered by all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, laughter, and unforgettable memories. James will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and everyone whose lives he touched. May his soul rest in peace.

Services will be held at Mosaic Church in Ocean Springs, MS on Saturday, April 25, 2026. Visitation will be from 10am until 11:15am. Service begins at 11:15am. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Vancleave, MS.

Reception to follow at the Vancleave Shelter- located at 5500 Ballpark Rd Vancleave, MS 39565. If you are bringing a covered dish, please feel free to drop it off on your way to the service we have someone that is prepared to be at the shelter all morning.
