Jane Irene Crisman Long was lovingly and gently escorted into the presence of Jesus on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from her home in Gulfport, MS. She was a wonderful gift to her parents, Francis B. and Myra L.Crisman. Jane was born on October 9, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois and she was raised in Garden City, Michigan where she graduated High School and then continued her education at Olivet Nazarene College. Jane was a brilliant and talented student and artist. She blessed many people with her talents, but most important to Jane was her great love for Jesus.
Jane revealed the love of Christ to everyone that she met and wanted everyone to know how much God loved them. Prayer was central to her life, which was evidenced in the ministries that she participated in. She was a long time (20 year) member of Life Church (Pass Road Baptist) in Gulfport, where she was on the prayer team, board of directors, church treasurer, and teacher. Jane was also the President of AGLOW ministries for many years and served as the coordinator for the National Day of Prayer on the Gulf Coast since May of 2008. Jane’s artistic talents led her to teach art as well as create beautiful murals and many oil paintings. Her most recent employment was in real estate sales with Gardner Realty.
Jane was preceded in death in 2016 by her loving husband of 35 years, James B. Long and her precious parents, Francis B. Crisman (2005) and Myra L. Crisman (2016).
Jane leaves behind her devoted brother from Deerfield, MI, John C. (Angie) Crisman and their 4 sons, daughters in love and 5 grandchildren. Jane also leaves a stepson, James B. (Connie) Long and their children, Victoria J. and Heath J. Long of Gautier and a step daughter, Charlotte Y. Long of Victorville, CA. Jane leaves many other family members, as well as family by marriage that loved her well and will miss her dearly. She has had many dear and faithful friends that have loved and supported her in prayer and in deeds. She will be greatly missed by everyone! Until we meet again Jane will be interceding with all of the saints on our behalf. Thank you dear friends and family for loving her so well!
