Janet Marie Mason Richardson

Janet Marie Richardson, age 66, passed away on Sunday Morning, December 17, 2017, at Garden Park Hospital in Gulfport. Janet was born on September 5, 1951, in Waukegan, Illinois, but was a longtime resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. She graduated from Gulfport East High School in 1969. She worked for several car rental agencies at Gulfport-Biloxi Airport, as well as Northwest Airlines. She managed the Racquet Club Apartments, and worked part-time at Tuesday Morning before she retired. She was involved in the arts of painting and ceramics. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by all who knew her. Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Daniel and Darlene Mason; maternal grandparents, William Latva, Leonard and Tyne Taulu; and her uncles, Dennis (Kathy) Taulu, Roger Mason, and Rodney Mason. She is survived by her devoted husband, Brent Alan Richardson; her loving son, James (Traci) Dobbs; her siblings, Doug (Brenda) Mason, Victor (Kim) Mason, Dan Mason, and Catherine (Gary) Mason Windom; her grandchildren, Madison Dobbs, Sydney Dobbs, Bailey Dobbs; and her uncle and aunt, Ron and Gail Taulu. The family thanks the staff at M.D. Anderson Medical Center as well as Dr. Allison Wall and her staff for their professional and kindly treatment of Janet throughout her three year bout with lung cancer. The family also thanks the many friends who gave their prayers and support during her ordeal.
