Janice Broussard Bush

January 15, 1947 — February 18, 2026

Janice Broussard Bush, raised in Biloxi MS, lovingly known as “Jan Jan,” was born on January 15, 1947, and departed this earth peacefully on February 18, 2026 to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Janice never met a stranger and brought happiness to everyone she encountered through her gentle and joyful nature. She loved dancing, music, creating crafts, and rooting for her beloved New Orleans Saints. She had a deep love and devotion to animals, especially dogs and cats; and from a very young age through adulthood, she assisted her late father, Dr. Johnny Broussard, in his veterinary clinics across the Gulf Coast. Janice had a special gift with children and the elderly. As a devoted aunt, she played an especially loving role in the lives of her nieces and nephews, caring for them in their early years and remaining a source of comfort and joy throughout their lives. She also worked for many years at a childcare center, where her warmth and kindness touched countless families.

Janice was preceded in death by her father, Dr. John R. Broussard Jr.; her husband, Junior Bush; her mother, Bette B. Broussard; sisters, Marie Trochesset, Linda Broussard and Carole Broussard Williams; and brother, Steve Broussard.

She is survived by her sisters, Julie Toche and Patty Broussard; her best friend of 60 years, Brenda Roessling; and numerous nieces and nephews- spanning generations.

Janice’s joyful spirit, compassionate heart, and unwavering kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. There will not be a public service. The family asks for prayers for Jan’s soul to rest in peace.

Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Janice Broussard Bush.
