Janice Elaine Greeley

Janice Elaine Greeley, age 57, went home to Jesus on March 7, 2012. Janice was born on June 16, 1954, in Greenwood, MS. and lived there until 2000, when she and her mother moved to Ocean Springs to be near her family. In Greenwood she attended the Little Red Schoolhouse, worked at Beacon Harbor and was a member of St. John's Methodist Church. In 2003 she moved to the Gautier Community Home and worked at River Oaks Industries. There she met many friends (who became her family) and who helped make her last few weeks less difficult. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Greeley and father, C.J. Greeley. Survivors include her sister, Kay Benton of Ocean Springs, MS, nephew, Brad (Bridget) Benton of Madison, MS, great-nephews, Wilson Benton and Kyler Benton, great-niece, Abi Alden Benton, all of Madison, MS and her niece, Sara (Taylor) Whiddon of Warner Robbins, GA. Visitation will be on Friday, March 9, 2012, from 4 pm until 6:30 pm, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. A private burial will be held in Greenwood, MS. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations be made to ones' favorite charity or to the Alzheimers Foundation. A special prayer of thanksgiving goes to Janice's wonderful friends at the Gautier Community Home and to St. Joseph's Hospice; without them her journey would have been much harder.
