Janice Diane Zimmer, 61, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 22, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Janice brought light, laughter, and a spark of bold honesty to every life she touched.
Janice was married to her beloved husband, Mark, for 38 years. A partnership built on love, loyalty, and shared joy. Together, they raised two children, Derek and Torie, who were her pride and heart. She was overjoyed to become a grandmother and was lovingly known as “Gigi” to her three beautiful granddaughters. She was the kind of mother and grandmother who offered unwavering support, love, and strength.
Known for her spunky spirit and unfiltered honesty, Janice was the friend who told it like it was and loved you fiercely for who you were. She had a boundless affection for animals, often surrounded by her four-legged companions who adored her just as much as people did.
Janice was preceded in death by her father, Thomas James Fulton and mother, Mary Claire Fulton. She is survived by her husband, Mark Zimmer; son, Derek Zimmer and wife Jessica Zimmer, daughter Torie Cassidy and husband John Cassidy; brother, Gary Fulton and wife Lorena and Lorena’s mom Maria; sister, Tamara McDonnell and husband Tom; nephews Troy Fulton, Trent Fulton, and Taylor McDonnell; and grandchildren, Braelyn Grace Zimmer, Halle Claire Zimmer, and Thea Nicole Cassidy; and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Her voice, her laugh, and her fierce love will be missed—but never forgotten.
