Jean Evelyn Williams Parker, age 83, of Ocean Springs, MS, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017.
Mrs. Parker was a native and lifelong resident of Ocean Springs and graduated from Ocean Springs High School in 1951. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of OS and a member of the "Joy" Sunday School Class. Mrs. Parker retired as a legal secretary and her hobbies included cooking, serving the Lord, and shopping.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Parker, parents, Stanford A. Williams, Sr and Jessie Hoffman Williams, brother, Stanford A. Williams Jr and a sister, Peggy Marr.
Survivors include two daughters, Lynn (Ken) Bagwell and Patricia (Michael) Drake; sister, Mary Edna (Paul) Schmedicke; two brothers, James (Frances) Williams and Don (Sharon) Williams; sister-in-law, JoRea Williams; special friend, Royce Noble; four grandchildren, Misti (Drew) Malone, Katherine Drake, Jennifer (Steve) Flair and Carol Johnson; and one great-grandchild, Asher Malone.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, 205 Lambert Street D, Mobile, AL 36604.
Visitation will be on Monday, July 10, from 10:00 a.m. until 11 a.m., with an 11:00 a.m. chapel service, all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
