Jerry Francis Gilbert, Jr.

Jerry Francis Gilbert, Jr., 53, of Saucier, MS died on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 in Wiggins. Mr. Gilbert was a fisherman and he loved the water and the great outdoors. He was a very soft hearted and sweet person who had a strong faith in his family and he loved unique attributes of each of them. Mr. Gilbert was self- employed and owned Jerry Gilbert Roofing. Mr. Gilbert is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry F. and Marlene Quave Gilbert, Sr.; his grandparents, whom he adored, Norma and Alice Quave; and his brother, Bobby Gilbert. Survivors include his wife, Carla Gilbert; his sisters, Shirley White and Belinda Baugh; his brothers Walter Gilbert, Bryant Gilbert and Max Gilbert; and a host of nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until mass time. Interment will follow at Swetman Cemetery. The Howard Avenue Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
