Mr. Jerry Wayne "Moussey" Harris, 60, of D'Iberville, MS, died Monday, March 21, 2011, in Ocean Springs.
Mr. Harris was born in Bay Springs, MS, and had been a longtime resident of the coast. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was a member of Coast Community Church in Woolmarket and Tri-County Pool Association. He loved his pool, enjoyed hunting, fishing, drag racing and cookouts. He was famous for his baked beans.
Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his parents, Bilbo Harris and Ruth Montgomery Harris; sister, Mattie Ruth Bell; and his brothers, La Marzell and David Harris.
He is survived by the mothers of his children, Ramona Zugg and Kay Gale; his daughters, Sharee Gale-Harris of D'Iberville, and Tami Theurer of Kentucky; sons, Raymond Lamar (Peggy) Harris of Grand Bay, Al, Jason Daniel (Julie) Harris of Laurel, Ms, and Christopher Lee (Trisha Denton) Harris of Hurley; and eight grandchildren, Brooke, Memari, Landon, Daniel, Hunter, Brindin, Prentice, and Mollee May.
Visitation is Sunday, March 27, 2011, from 5 until 8 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Howard Avenue, in Biloxi.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Park.
