Jimmy Ray "Pony" Thrasher, age 49, died Friday September 7, 2007 in Saucier, MS. Jimmy was a life long resident of Harrison County. Jimmy was a truck driver by trade and was an avid Jeff Gordon fan. He also coached softball and teeball. Jimmy was preceeded in death by his brothers-in-law Ralph "Tater" Cox and Tommy Dyess. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Judy Thrasher and his daughter Kim Perkins, both of Saucier; his parents, Jim and Emelda Thrasher of Gulfport; a brother, Lynn (Marcie) Thrasher of Saucier; sisters, Connie (Al) Madden of Gulfport; Bonnie (Bob) Mello of McHenry; Sheriell "Rabbit" (Tony) Maloy of Saucier; and Dee Dee Thrasher of Saucier; step sisters, Annette Edgewood of Bond, MS and Jackie Armour and step brother Mike Thrasher of Florida. He had three grandchildren; Spencer, Megan and Jordon Perkins of Saucier; and many neices and nephews and great neices and nephews. Jimmy is also survived by special sisters-in-law Vicki (Bruce) Phelps and Pat Hinton both of Long Beach. Funeral services will be held on Sunday September 9, 2007 at 3:00pm at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home, O'Neal Road in Gulfport where friends may call from 2-3:00pm.
