Joan Guin Jackson

Joan Guin Jackson, age 77, of Gulfport, died Friday, October 8, 2011 in Ocean Springs. She was a resident of Gulfport since 1978 and was a member of Unity Church of Gulfport. An artist, she owned and operated "A Shop of a Different Color" in Bay St. Louis and was known for painting on silk. She was also a dental hygienist, a librarian and a kindergarten teacher. She was a member of Center Stage. She was preceded in death by her son, Steve Jackson. She is survived by a sister, Mary Guin Cardon of Birmingham, AL.
