Jody Juan Broussard Jr.

July 25, 1973 — May 13, 2026

Biloxi, MS

Jody Juan Broussard Jr., born July 25, 1973, passed away on May 13, 2026 surrounded by the love of his family and friends. A devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend, Jody leaves behind a legacy defined not only by his strength and generosity, but by a deeply poetic soul that shaped how he saw and shared the world.

Jody is survived by his beloved wife, Marcella Broussard, and his cherished children, Gage Estain, River Broussard (Lynne Broussard), Ella Broussard, and Miles Broussard. He is also survived by his loving parents, Jane Broussard and Jody Broussard (Phyllis Rhynes); his siblings, Aimee Broussard, Anne Broussard, and Kristen McKeever (Matthew McKeever); his grandmothers, Martha D’orville and Una Broussard. He leaves behind a wide circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will carry his memory forward.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Glenn D’orville, Henry Toche, and Edward “June” Broussard, as well as his Uncles Michael Toche and Neil Broussard.

An entrepreneur from a young age, Jody built a life through determination and vision. Following the foundation laid by his father, Jody Broussard Sr., Jody Jr. devoted himself to Broussard Mechanical and growing it into a successful business that provided not only for his own family, but for many others as well. His work ethic was matched by a quiet pride in creating something meaningful and lasting.

Even in his youth, Jody was a builder at heart. He spent his early years crafting treehouses in the backyard for his sisters and cousins, places of imagination, laughter, and refuge. In later years, he returned to that same simple joy, building treehouses once again, this time for his own children, creating spaces where their memories could take root just as his once had.

Yet beyond his accomplishments, Jody will be remembered for the way he lived, sometimes stoic, always thoughtful, with a wit and humor that revealed itself at just the right moments. He was a man who didn’t speak often, but when he did, his words carried weight. There was a writer within him, one who noticed the small, fleeting details others might miss, and who understood life with a depth that cannot be taught.

He loved deeply and fully, especially his children, whom he adored beyond measure.

Jody found joy in life’s experiences: annual family trips to Breckenridge, the music of The Beatles, cheering on the New Orleans Saints as a devoted fan, and the peace and wonder of scuba diving. These passions reflected his appreciation for both adventure and connection.

Above all, Jody Broussard was a poet at heart. Whether through his words, his actions, or the way he moved through life, he left behind something lasting and beautiful, an imprint of thoughtfulness, love, and quiet brilliance that will not be forgotten.

His life will be remembered, his words will echo, and his spirit will live on in all who knew and loved him.
