John “Johnny” Cuevas, Sr., age 75, of Gulfport, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 in Gulfport. He was a resident of the Gulf Coast for 54 years. He enjoyed hunting and was known as “Dagwood” on his CB radio. Mr. Cuevas was a retired sheriff’s deputy for Harrison County.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Tillie Cuevas; four daughters, Diana Bourque, Cynthia Cuevas, Deborah Oden (Ricky), Donna Ladner; a son, John W. Cuevas, Jr. (Theresa); a brother, Elmer Cuevas (Leona); grandchildren, Richard Cuevas, Jeremy Bourque, Cassie Bupp (Kevin), Chris Cuevas, Ashton Brewer (Daniel), Candace Lewis, Jason Cuevas, Alison Cuevas, David Ladner, Jr., Courtney Cuevas, and Sarah Ladner; great- grandchildren, Austin Cuevas, Brittany Cuevas, Ama Bourque, C.J. Meehan, Jr., Adalyne Brewer, Wyatt Bourque; Christian Malone, and future great-grandson, Riley Bupp.
The funeral service will be Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home, 15th Street, Gulfport with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Gardens, Gulfport. View and sign register book at www.bradfordokeefe.com
