John Arthur Gagnon, affectionately known to many as Pop and Jackie, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025, in Biloxi, Mississippi. He was born on August 20, 1947, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Alfred and Freda Gagnon.
He served in the United States Air Force and worked with the United States Postal Service. In addition to his professional contributions, John was a devoted fan of the New Orleans Saints, a passion that brought him joy throughout his life.
John Arthur Gagnon will be remembered for his unwavering dedication and the love he shared with those around him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, fortitude, and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of many.
John is survived by his beloved siblings: sister Jeanne Reinbolt, brother Bill Gagnon, brother Jim Gagnon, and sister Karen Petzold. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and a loyal dog named Rocky, who was a cherished companion.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Elaine Gagnon; brother, Al Gagnon; sister, Dolly Ross; and by his parents, Alfred and Freda Gagnon.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home - Howard Avenue in Biloxi from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:30 PM. A graveside service will take place at Biloxi National Cemetery at 1:30 PM.
